Cultural Perspectives was recently commissioned by the Council of Europe (CoE) to assess the validity and suitability of an application by the Association des Sites Le Corbusier (based in Ronchamp, France) in their quest for recognition as one of a number of newly certified European Cultural Routes.
Following a detailed report produced by Cultural Perspectives, the Le Corbusier application was considered by the CoE at their April meeting in Luxembourg and approved.
The Association des Sites Le Corbusier (www.sites-le-corbusier.org) joins the Brussels-based Réseau Art Nouveau Network as the only other cultural route dedicated to Europe’s built heritage of more modern times.
Although a number of Le Corbusier’s most significant commissions are well dispersed across France and Switzerland in particular, Cultural Perspectives is ideally placed to deliver a highly individual tour focusing on some of his most iconic buildings. Diverse locations such as Paris, Ronchamp, Zurich and La Chaux-de- Fonds would be considered and a Cultural Perspectives tour would include engagement from some of the key individuals involved in protecting and promoting this important heritage.
