Congratulations to the ATRIUM Route (ATRIUM: Architecture of Totalitarian Regimes in Europe’s Urban Memory), one of 13 newly certified Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe announced at the EPA’s Governing Board meeting held in Luxembourg in May 2022.
Cultural Perspectives were commissioned to evaluate the current operation and future plans of the ATRIUM Route, headquartered in Forli, Italy. ATRIUM is a European Cultural Route which seeks to address the legacy of authoritarian and totalitarian regimes of 20th century Europe through the continued existence of architecture and municipal developments. A key strand of the Route is to connect the lives and experiences of European citizens past and present through the medium of historic structures, monuments and the wider urban and rural landscapes.
Hopefully, Cultural Perspectives’ engagement with the evaluation process played a small but important part in ATRIUM’s successful recertification.
